Shire scored a 2-0 victory over Second Division Brechin City in a closed-door friendly match on Saturday afternoon.

Both clubs fielded strong sides in what was little more than an early season work out.

“I was pleased with the performance,” said coach Jim McInally. “I thought the players looked fit and a win is a nice boost for morale as well.”
