TWO GAMES, TWO DRAWS

Both Shire squads drew their pre-season build-up games on Tuesday evening.

Jim McInally was at Dumbarton to watch one of his teams go 2-0 up against the Sons in their Stirlingshire Cup match.

Goals from Jamie Stevenson and Scott Johnston had Shire riding high, but Dumbarton came back strongly in the second half to level things off at 2-2.

The match then went into the penalty shoot-out which Shire lost 5-4 after Eddie Forrest became the only one of the ten spot kick takers to miss.

The other Shire squad which included Andy Rodgers, Craig Donaldson, Michael Bolochoweckyj, David King and David Thornton took on amateur side Cambusbarron Rovers at Stirling University.

That match also ended 2-2.
